I wanted to blog today just to document this unseasonable day. Who knows when we will have a November like this again. It is November 3, 2015, and it is my only granddaughter's 15th birthday. I don't remember ever having a day like this for her birthday. I don't write about our granddaughter a lot because she is more private than the grandsons. I did write about her 13th birthday but I respect the fact she doesn't always appreciate the attention. http://www.thecabincountess.com/2013/11/happy-13th-birthday-to-our-grandaughter.html
Today it seems like the middle of summer. It is warmer outside than it is inside. We don't often have this weather in November. Last year we had snow on nineteen days of the month of November. In my opinion, this is the perfect day. The sun is shining and the temperature is in the lower 70's.
People are outside in shorts and summer clothes. They were walking dogs, riding bikes and doing yard work. The golf courses are still open and people are playing golf.
Golfers out on the links. Some in shorts. |
People are out riding bikes. |
Fishermen are out on their boats. |
Even the ducks were enjoying the day. |
I could spend the winter this way, but that isn't very realistic. Soon we will have to face the reality of winter in Wisconsin, but until then we are enjoying every minute. We took a little drive to see our granddaughter on her birthday. She was all dressed up in a summer dress with musical notes all over it. We visited for a while and then she was off to play practice. The high school play is in a week and it's crunch time with a lot of practices. I am looking forward to seeing it.
Happy Birthday Melissa
